Happy Tuesday, everyone!
Today I’m officially releasing my newest pattern, the Magnolia Shorts. They’re SO fun and will be a great transition piece for your summer to fall wardrobe needs.
The Magnolia Shorts are the perfect mix of casual and chic. The shorts are made to look like a skirt, so you’ll have the style of dressing up a bit with the ease of wearing shorts. Dress these shorts up for a date night by sewing them out of a flowy rayon or voile or dress them down for a date with the tennis court by sewing them in a soft sports wear fabric. Choose between an elastic waistband or a drawstring and elastic waistband combo for your perfect pair of shorts. The Magnolia Shorts…
are an amazing transitional piece for your wardrobe that can easily take you from the dog days of summer to the cooler evenings of fall. I love how these shorts, if styled right, can look casual or really put together mimicking a short skirt.
For fabric, I’d suggest using something with amazing drape. Voile, rayon, tencel, slinky jersey, etc. You won’t want to use quilting cotton for these – drape matters! In the two samples below I used voile from my Happy Home collection and a knit from my Chalk and Paint collection. I’ll be sharing tester photos later this week, so stay tuned!
Enjoy $2 off the Magnolia Shorts until the end of the month, no code necessary!
Happy Sewing, XOXO,
