Indiesew Spring Collection — The Florence Kimono

Hi friends! Last week I introduced the Spring Collection for Indiesew. There are some amazing patterns included in the bundle, but I wanted to share with you the pattern I contributed, the Florence Kimono.

Like I mentioned in this post, the Florence Kimono was derived from the free Kimono Jacket found on my blog. The Florence, though, has three different lengths to choose from, uses French seams, and a narrow bias facing for finishing the front opening. This is an awesome pattern to print, cut, and sew in an afternoon and is great for a beginner seamstress.

Today I am excited to show you some photos of the Florence Kimono in the shortest, crop jacket length. I love the retro look of this cut, especially mixed with my Chalk and Paint voile!Florence Kimono // www.sewcaroline.com Florence Kimono // www.sewcaroline.com Florence Kimono // www.sewcaroline.com Florence Kimono // www.sewcaroline.com Florence Kimono // www.sewcaroline.com

For a subtly cute look, I added mini pom  pom trim around all the edges; it turned out just how I had envisioned it would. I can’t wait to wear this jacket all summer long over shorts + a tank, a swimsuit top + shorts, etc.!

Grab your copy of the Indiesew Spring Collection here. And don’t forget, the Florence Kimono is just one of the amazing patterns you will receive when you snag the bundle- it’s such an awesome deal (almost 25% off!).
