  1. The best hanmade gift I received is a wooden box painted and decorated by my mother-in-law for our engagement rings during the ceremony. It is a red and golden box with angels and a little red velvet pillow in it.

  2. I would have to say, it was a beautiful women I meant on the internet, and I am teaching myself to quilt, and she sent me the very first quilt she ever made, the quilt will always be my favorite quilt and one of my best gifts. Thank you

  3. My sister gave me a simple patchwork pillow she made when she was just learning to sew. I love it because it meant there was another sewer in the family :)

  4. Hmmm…the best handmade gift I’ve ever received would probably be a cinnamon pancake mix my sister made for me last Christmas! I’m a really lazy cook (not to mention I’m really no good at it) so this was perfect! All the messy-to-measure ingredients were already combined allowing me minimal work for a delicious weekend breakfast!

  5. A few quilts that my mom has made for me. I know how much work they are and I really just love quilts, especially when they come from her.

  6. This is super exciting! I love to sew and I actually have an Anna that I really enjoy. I’m racking my brain to think of something I’ve been given that was home made, and I really can’t think of anything. Fingers crossed!

  7. The best handmade gift I have received was a scrapbook my friend made for me when I moved away :) It had great pictures and memories in it. I love it!

  8. The best handmade gift I’ve received would be a beautiful blue and yellow striped quilt by my Aunt for my last birthday. She often gets into different crafty zones – quilting, cross-stitching, painting, scrapbooking… – and this is the first one that I’ve benefited from! haha

I’ve given plenty of home made gifts. Every year for Christmas I give my co-workers and any Secret Santa’s that I’m in on a tin of baked goods and a jam/cranberry sauce. I usually knit or crochet something special for my immediate family too! Plus every baby shower gift that I’ve given in my adult life has been a crocheted stuff animal of some kind.

Thanks for the giveaway! I’d LOVE a new sewing machine!

  9. It is hard to pick the best handmade gift I received as my mother has made me a lot of wonderful handmade gifts over the years including dresses, cross stitches, toys, etc.

  10. It’s hard to pick the best handmade gift I’ve ever received. I have received so many beautiful things from my mom over the years, from clothes, cross stitches, toys, etc.

  11. A God’s Eye my daughter made me when she was little, I will never forget the look on her face when she gave it to me she was so proud and so was I.

  12. I receive quite a few handmade gifts but one of my fav is a glass bottle that a child/mom decorated to hold my dish detergent. I think of that child each time I use it.

  13. The best handmade gift I ever got was a t-shirt quilt made by my mom. It was made all from my (deceased) dad’s shirts. The shirt squares were all some of the shirts that had meaning between my dad and I, and then the sashings were made with his horrible Hawaiian shirts that he loved so much. My sister got one that Christmas, too and I love that each of our quilts are so special to each of us.

  14. Wow choosing what the best handmade gift I ever received is hard! My grandma was an avid sewer while I was growing up so she made us a lot of stuff. I love the quilt that was made for me as a baby but I guess the most dearest handmade item given to me was one that my son made. He put together a heart shaped button necklace for me. It was the sweetest thing!

  15. The best handmade gift that I’ve received would have to be a dress that my daughter made for me for Mothers Day. I signed her up for sewing classes when she was 6 and the first thing she wanted to make was a dress for me! Both the teacher and I helped her with it but she did a ton of the work by herself. I wore it all day long on Mothers Day and she was so proud!

  16. A friend made me a quillow many years ago when she started sewing. She also made me a mini quilted wall hanging with pictures of us from school. Those remain two of the best gifts I’ve ever received.
