Coffee Date

Well, it has been quite some time since our last coffee date, no?

If we were at coffee, I would tell you that I’m PUMPED that my very first pattern is releasing here on Monday! I’ve been sharing teaser posts on Instagram of some of my tester’s dresses and yesterday’s caused quite a ruckus. You see, my friend Bethany tested for me and she is 17 weeks pregnant. With an adorable baby bump…. that people thought was mine! OOPS! Haha! I think it was bad timing with my announcement yesterday about some BIG NEWS I have coming.. but NO, I am not expecting. 😀

Do you know Rachael of Imagine Gnats? She is running an Indiegogo campaign to help kick start her sewing pattern business. She already sells PDFs (like my Meridian Cardigan.. that was, by the way, featured on BUZZFEED DIY this week!) in her online shop, but wants to sell paper patterns as well! She has some great Early Bird specials and deals that you can get for donating! I am a huge supporter of paper patterns BECAUSE many people don’t like to print out PDFs.. they’re a huge hassle! PLUS, brick and mortar fabric and quilt shops can sell them , which is a HUGE plus!!

Go HERE to support her campaign– you won’t regret it!

Imagine Gnats Indiegogo CampaignMy hilarious friend, Erin of Sewbon.com recreated my Faux Fur tutorial and made a STUNNING vest of her own. And HEY, she lined it.. so she gets 10 extra points. 😉

That’s all I’ve got today, y’all. BUT, be sure to pop back over here on Monday for some Out and About Dress action! (Just in time for Valentine’s Day!!)

  1. I have played around with sewing off and on (my Granny was a GREAT seamstress) BUT I need A LOT more practice! I have my own sewing machine and have inherited a serger from my Granny. Just wish I had someone like you living closer to me for more help! :) Can’t wait for the new dress pattern – already have some fabric waiting to try it out!! Your blog is definitely an inspiration for me!

  2. I can’t wait for Monday! I have been searching for a dress pattern just like the one you have coming out. Love me some knits and love love love cute dresses. Congratulations!

  3. I love the Coffee Dates! So glad it’s back. Also, I am still dying over the prego confusion! When you do decide to take on the role of motherhood, I know you will surprise us all with an AWESOME announcement!
