Project Sewn // Week Four: My Signature Style

Last week was my last week to participate in Project Sewn, but I already had this little number sewn and photographed so I figured I would go ahead and share it with y’all.
This week’s theme is “Signature Style”. This one was a little difficult for me because I can never really pin down my “signature style”.. it seems to always be changing and evolving depending on my mood and how creative I’m feeling in the moment.
For this outfit, I paired the Grainline Studio Tiny Pocket Tank (sans the tiny pocket + minus an inch or so in the mid section) with the Colette Iris shorts (with a bit of a lengthened hemline)

I’m not in the running for votes, but  I know the other ladies participating would love for you to go check out their designs and vote on your favorite!!

I had the best time this past month participating in Project Sewn… I made a little collage of all the designs I submitted…

It was challenging and rewarding and I met so many fantastic ladies!! They are all so so talented, and I really think you should go check out their blogs…

  1. This looks like something I would totally wear! I love all the dresses and skirts, but I’m a jeans and shorts kind of girl. As much as I might *want* to be a skirt/dress girl….the stay home mom thing gets in the way! But I love love love this and the colors are so perfect!

  2. Oh goodness, I have been voting for you throughout the entire contest. I love that each look you sewed reflected your personality. You kept true to who you are with the choices of fabric and silhouette.

  3. Very cute, love your color combo here. I am juuust starting to sew for myself, I love this shirt pattern. We’ll see how tops go before I try shorts…ha. Although there is a big part of me that wishes last weeks Project SEWN was actually your signature outfit. I loved it!

  4. Caroline,
This is ADORABLE!!! (I’m totally behind on my blog reading…Elizabeth and I have both been sick…so if I’m on the computer it’s been strictly business. Boo.)

I love this outfit. Seriously, it is so fresh and clean and fun. It’s totally you.

  5. I love your top! Great fabric–where did you find it? The Iris shorts are waiting for me, but I’m too lazy to make a muslin! I love a tailored-just-for-me garment, but I get exhausted after altering nearly every pattern I sew!
