Birds Flyin’ High…

Its no secret that I love handmade clothing and when I find a pattern that I really love, I can’ help but make multiples!
The Staple Dress designed by April Rhodes is a quick + simple pattern that sews up sew nicely. I couldn’t help but make another– in a very different print!
This fabric is adorned with birds and I just love it…

  1. That fabric is lovely. I have yet to make up that pattern. I wasn’t sold on the photos on the april rhodes site but seeing yours I think I’ll get it. It looks very comfy too which is high on my list of priorities when it comes to clothing 🙂

  2. i am so envious of the “i’ll just whip up another” part of your handmade life! this dress is lovely and you made it with purpose. i swoon. thanks for linking up with dress for the day!

  3. Caroline! I’m so glad you posted about this dress, since I remember hearing of it once, but am not sure it ever got pinned. So many internet sewing sites, so little time….sigh. AND…I JUST bought bird fabric from Girl Charlee and was wondering if I was crossing a certain style boundary. This just makes me feel like I’m in good company 🙂

  4. Love love love! So much that I went and bought my own pattern 😉 Hoping to make it before the end of summer but this is my busy time so we’ll see… Thanks for the great pictures and inspiration!
