Man! I can’t believe I am just getting around to posting about this lovely coat. I have been sitting on this one since about August when I received the pattern. I knew I wanted to make it out of some velveteen and I knew I didn’t want it to be a super heavy coat (because, what good is that really here in Texas), so I purchased this velveteen and let it sit. I was terrified to cut into this fabric! It is so gorgeous, a little pricey, and I was just all together a little scared. SO, finally around the middle of November I cut into it and sewed up this jacket. I love how it turned out: just how I had hoped!
Details: Jacket- Uptown Coat pattern by Favorite things // Fabric- Anna Maria Horner Loulouthi Velveteen (I can’t seem to find where to purchase this anymore, its kind of old so it is possible that it is all gone.. sorry!)
Have you sewn any coats or jackets lately? Outerwear is surprisingly fun to sew!
