Button Wall Decor DIY

Today I’ve got a super fun way to spruce up a blank wall… Its bright & cheery and takes up a lot of space!!!

Photobucket

grab 4 canvases (mine are 12×12), paint, masking tape, hot glue gun, and random buttons.

Photobucket

First, tape down the portion of your canvases that you want to remain white. I’m not super into the chevron trend, so i went with stripes and made them go all different directions!

Paint on top of the masking tape and set them out to dry.

Once they are all dry, peel off each strip of masking tape and you should have something that looks like this:

Now, trace out your letters or design that you want to make with the buttons (I freehanded mine, but you could print out a letter and trace that as well).

Photobucket

Use your hot glue gun to glue down each of the buttons. I like the 3D look that piling the buttons on top of one another gives, but if you’d rather, you can just place then next to one another! (sorry for such a gross-looking shot of my glue gun!)

Photobucket

When your entire letter/design is filled, hang them on the wall and show off your button art work!
See, here’s how mine turned out :)

I’d LOVE to see how yours turned out :)
