Ok, now for the real stuff.

This week on countdown to Christmas, I have something a little different. There are all kinds of fun do-it-yourself projects floating about the internet these days, so I thought it would be a good idea to share with y’all some of my DIY Christmas finds! {these aren’t my projects, and I have given credit where it is needed :)}

a gorgeous yarn ball wreath
I found this yarn ball wreath tutorial on a Tatertots and Jello guest post written by Kristi from Life Through the Lens.
I was immediately drawn to the color scheme and it looks like such an easy project for a lazy Sunday afternoon! gorgeous

a ruffled postage stocking
Mandy over at Mandipidy has an array of wonderful tutorials {she is the reason I have numbers on my comments ;)} and this is beautiful ruffled postage stocking is one of them.
So simple & fun, you should try it– I’m going to!
{oh and she has a manly & monogrammed Christmas stocking tutorial on her blog TODAY!}
ribbon Christmas tree
So, I saw this tutorial for a small ribbon Christmas tree over at Kim’s blog, Yellow Songbird, back in the summer when I stumbled upon her blog & just remembered it when I was writing this post. Its too cute to not include :)
Can’t you just see two of these little guys on either side of the mantel? I can. So precious!
simple sewn bird ornaments
Have I told you I love birds? Well, I do. And simply fell in love with these adorable bird ornaments when I saw them on  the Purl Bee blog!
I’m going to make some of these beauties for the little tree in my room this year :)
and last, another beautiful holiday wreath
Of all wreaths, I feel like this holiday rosette wreath from Laura at Along For the Ride just screams “CHRISTMAS!” I mean hello, people.. its red & green! I can’t wait to make this to replace the fall wreath I made for my mom a few weeks ago! :)
